APICS Principles Workshop: Lean Inventory - Concepts and Practice

APICS Portland has partnered with APICS Puget Sound Chapter to offer this 4-hour Lean Inventory workshop.

Lean Inventory concepts use traditional LEAN practices with practical applications for inventory management.  Understand the lean tools for combating waste, how to establish a pull system, how to calculate kanbans, and what value is.

Discuss which methods would support your lean supply chain, bringing you success at your job.  Where can your supply chain be lean?  What are the potential risks, and how will you mitigate them?

Attend this seminar and learn about:

• Understanding JIT, LEAN, and how they apply to management of inventories
• Describe the lean toolkit of techniques to combat waste
• Differentiating value-add work from waste
• Calculating the number and quantity in kanbans
• Establishing inventory pull systems
• Describing the benefits of lean
• Discuss mitigating supply risks to manage your lean supply chain

By the conclusion of the seminar attendees will understand Lean Inventory concepts and practices, eliminating waste, practical techniques, the role of quality management and improvements.
